I was a little worried when he came off in injury time vs Canada. But thankfully it wasn’t serious. He just has a really good attitude now and we don’t hear as much from his dad. Emery has clearly sold him on a role that he has bought into.
That fancy shuffle and pass on Sunday was the clearest sign yet that his confidence is back to what it was when he first signed and tried a couple of tricks near the corner flag in, I think, his first game,He's only going to get better. I wonder if he's finally over the injury worry as he doesn't have to last a full game?
Plus, I think Emery had belief in him when others may have given up and you sense a player that wants to repay that faith.
