I'd chuck him into the deal for Diaby.

For the upcoming campaign I think he's more than useful enough.

Thinking being that we can get someone better, in addition to Diaby. Rather than someone made of glass.

I think Bailey will be here until January, at least. I know we're looking to add a few new faces in midfield but as people keep pointing out about players from *insert league here* don't always make the move well. I think it'd be a bit reckless to clear out all the names that managed to get the job done last season on the assumption the new players will be up to scratch immediately.

At the very least he could be useful for a midweek cup tie when someone needs a rest.

Considering he contributed to earning a fair number of points last season id say he's definitely got a part to play

Was he often played on the right rather than his natural “winger” left?

Good shout that and as it is Leverkeusen where he came from it might work nicely (if they want him back and his wages)

I admit, he’s a bit of an enigma for me
Like others have mentioned when I watch highlights back as I was yesterday the Villa V Brighton game, he does feature quite a bit, hitting the bar and stuff

He’s also got a decent shot especially earlier on in games He causes a few problems and has scored some great goals.

But his overall game is not that great I don’t think
He struggles to beat a man for sheer pace In fact I don’t even think he’s that fast to be honest

At the moment I don’t think he’s been worth the amount we paid, but obviously that could change next season if he’s still around

I think that if we can get him fit & fully rehabilitated, he wont be afraid of going full tilt, before doing his thigh or hamstring again.

The last two times he did, he showed his explosiveness.

But then got injured in the process & I think it has affected him mentally to the point where he is afraid to push himself.

I think he was rapid, except now he's done his hamstring he's either not confident, or fit, enough to be.

I think he was rapid, except now he's done his hamstring he's either not confident, or fit, enough to be.

That and he's usually trying to let the defender overrun him so he can cut inside so he's not really trying to hit full pace. If we can get him fit and confident (and especially confident in using his right foot more) he'll show his pace much more often.

I know stats from games don't mean anything but Fifa23 has him as 92 for pace and FM23 has him at 17 which are both high enough to suggest he has shown plenty of pace when they've 'scouted' him for their DBs.

It's been said before, but what he brings to our set-up is pace ( or the fear of pace from the defending teams) which means they have to set up differently when he plays, freeing up more space elsewhere. Buedia or Bert don't offer that.

Now and again he looks amazing, like against Everton before he went off injured and in the 4-2 loss to Arse, when he came off the bench.

Seems to be lacking confidence or fitness, or both.
