It just makes me more concerned that there is something not quite right at the club.

I agree that I don't think things are quite right but I don't think this particularly adds to it. This is just his dad being the character we all saw.

It has that feeling to it  I wonder if the new assistant has had the opposite effect to what we expected. Come to the training pitch determined to shake things up to make his mark trying to fix something that wasn’t really broken. Pure supposition of course no ITK here.

His dad has always been pretty out spoken and odd.

But we were pretty broken at the end of last season.  What was it? Just wins over relegated Norwich and Burnley and averaging 1 point per game in the last 12 games.

My feeling is Beale was a great go between to temper the very serious, unrelenting nature of Gerrard. Either Critchley isn't doing that in the same way, or they just are not responding to him

Indeed, haven't we averaged a point a game since Jan 1 2022?

That's pretty broken.

... except - allegedly - regarding McGinn.
I thought Ashley Young's main role was to act as liaison between staff and players (quite why they need one is another topic).

Before the players only had one whiny scouse accent to withstand.  Now they’ve got two.  No wonder they’re pissed off.

Bailey needs to tell his dad to wind his neck in.  Has he forgotten the bloke spent most of last season in the treatment room?  Now he wants him to join a new club if they don’t play to his system.  Fack off is what I would say.

We really should start getting the best out of him this season. He needs a decent run in the team and he does need to play on the wing. However his dad needs to keep his mouth shut, it’s not exactly very professional is it?

What has happened to you?

It should be other people (not me, NB) telling you that, at least it always has been for years.

Are you ok?

Seems odd timing when bailey has just done that interview with villa tv where everything is rosey in the garden. I know it always is in villa tv, but even so seems strange for his step dad to pipe up now. He’s also started 2 out of 3 league games this season?
