I can’t be the only one who is uneasy about this transfer?

No squad number given yet.
Press conferences is a garden shed led by his dad/agent.
It just doesn’t feel like the way villa operate and conduct transfer business….as is proven with our immaculate handling of the last transfer out, not the Louie Barry one.

It all feels very Micky mouse and unprofessional to me.

I’m looking forward to being proved completely wrong though.

this ain't Randy's Villa.

I don't think Purslow would have mentioned him by name in the address to supporters if there were any potential hiccups.

Due a break after international duty so in Jamaica still? Movement restricted due to covid? Info rushed through for the good news aspect in view of the simultaneous bad news aspect? Squad number because someone else is off (i.e Wesley perhaps) or simply because he's not with the squad at the moment due to issues i mentioned?

His dad looks like he has a bit too much mouth and influence for my liking, seems like a good bloke but i'd imagine a pain in the arse if he doesn't get his own way. That said i trust the management of our club to not make a mistake in this regard so i'm not worried.

Christian is retiring next year according to another poster so Pappa Bailey will be someone else's problem.

Is Bailey the first player we've ever signed without him setting foot inside the stadium/training ground/offices/county/country/continent in order to do the deal?

His Dad's football den/Bootroom sure is a mighty powerful place.

Understand the concerns re his dad but Leon’s back story about his start in life and how his stepdad fought for him to get football trials is very good.

Didn't someone mention here that the Leverkusen fans said they won't miss the "drama" associated with him?

Hopefully he's as good as promised but if he is and Liverpool or Yanited come in for him a couple of years I suspect he'll be off.

Perhaps, but by then we'll be doing just fine I reckon and will be able to sign a replacement more easily.
