5.30pm BST is a bit late for a press conference. Looks fishy to me.

It's not a club press conference - it's his stepdad / agent's YouTube channel. He could do it at midnight if he wanted to.

Ah, I see.

I think his dad/stepdad/agent is going to be VERY high maintenance!

To be fair based on those reports the guy has done a hell of a lot to put Bailey where he is now.

If any agent / hanger-on deserves a bit of milking it, it's probably him.

He seems fairly open and honest about things too. Clearly put huge commitment into Bailey and his career from a very young age.

Gabby suggesting he could play as a centre forward if Watkins missed any games.
we’ve already got Davis and Wesley who can pretend to be centre forwards if Watkins is out….

Watched a few clips of him when we were first linked and he did seem to be in a central role in a number of them.

Is it? I thought it had been reported that it happened on Sunday and was all fine.

The hold up is more to do with work permit issues I'd imagine, either that or Clarkson and Farage have set up more stringent border controls to keep us all safe.

I'm not sure there is much of a hold up. By all accounts we agreed everything at the end of last week, he had his medical at the weekend and will be announced today or tomorrow.

Probably announced "subject to a work permit", like we had with Luiz.

Every time we agree a deal there's always a few days before it's completed and there's always someone who says it's taking a long time so there must be a problem.

Transfers are on a different planet these days compared with the old days .With all the huge financial figures involved in transfers these days things often take more time. There is the transfer fees, the wages, bonus's, loyalty payments etc. Not to mention stringent medicals. The days of the selling manager and the buying manager scribbling out a few loose figures on the back of a fag packet have well gone. Also with all the money involved the old days of a quick 'cough and drop' medical are also long gone.
