I’d quite like this signing to be confirmed now.

Work permit needs to be sorted first. It shouldn't be a issue as he's a full International for Jamaica.

does he need a work permit? He was eligible to play for England - he may have a british passport

Two of his grandparents have British citizenship but weren't born here. Not sure whether that's enough for him to claim citizenship.

Still, he will get the paperwork to play come through easily enough. As Bundesliga is a top league he'd likely be eligible if he had even been on the bench for one game. Add his Jamaican caps and there's no way he won't be able to sign, probably just a question of waiting for the right paperwork to be finalised.

I wonder if his mate Usain will be coming to B6 to watch him play.

He will need international clearance before being allowed to train with us.

Sounds like a brilliant signing, but I am a long time fan,his form in the 18/19 19/20 was quite ordinary.

I might just be me but there feels something a bit strange about this transfer.
Although the club put that announcement out on Saturday, nothing else has been said, as is the right way to do it.

In the meantime, you have his agent (stepdad ?) giving interviews all over the place and telling the world how ‘he’ did this, and ‘he’ did that, and ‘he’ said the other.

He’s been giving a running commentary on the lads medical and personal terms discussions and by all accounts is holding a YouTube press conference to ‘unveil’ the player

It all feels a bit surreal.

5.30pm BST is a bit late for a press conference. Looks fishy to me.

It's not a club press conference - it's his stepdad / agent's YouTube channel. He could do it at midnight if he wanted to.
