He’s still ruining the occasional day for me from beyond the grave. You should see the state of the pallets we get back from his brewery.

Where ever England play theres always Villa flag.

Out all the Midlands clubs our supporters have the most representation on the England scene.

Blues dont follow England as the zulus wont like it.

The de facto leader is one of my best mates. He’s mixed race, did about 20 years in the British army and is England mad. His politics are quite extraordinary for a person of colour and he doesn’t keep them hush hush for anybody. Loads of them go to England games and everybody down there knows it. There was virtually a riot between Blues and Villa at an away game v Scotland after which another of my Zulu mates did 12 months in a Scottish prison. I can assure you that everyone down there knew about it and he faced no bad feelings or censure from any of them.

They still tolerate Naughty Norman, who once stood as a National Front candidate for Hodge Hill. It may even have been more than once.

One thing I've wondered: do hooligans put aside club allegiances when on England 'duty'? Or would thugs of Villa/SHA, West Ham/Millwall, Liverpool/Everton still be, erm, upset about each other being there?

Between Villa and Blues there is hostility but it rarely results in violence unless there is some spark that sets it off. Although there was once a heated confrontation when the two firms found themselves on the same flight to Bulgaria or Romania, I can’t mind which. And sometimes friendships develop; relations between Villa and Sunderland are very cordial. There was a time when Villa were unpopular on that scene as they were one of the best firms and known for throwing their weight around quite a bit.

I was annoyed for about 2 minutes last night. I was annoyed for about 2 months after we lost that League Cup semi final to Bradford in 2013, in fact it still pisses me off now.
Villa first, always.

The League Cup in 2013 and the FA Cup in 1992 should really be in our list of honours. They woz there for the taking.
