It might make sense geographically for Young.  I have no idea where he lives but I'd hazard a guess from his time at Manchester United it could be in Cheshire.  Closer to home, Premier League club and probably a decent wedge, it has to be tempting.

Good luck to Ash if he signs for Everton. He made it clear at the end of last season that he wanted to stay with us but we let him go.

He was my player of the season last season not only because of his largely excellent performances but also for his nous and leadership. It was often commented on here during and after games that he had that niggly, pain-in-the-arse quality that we have often lacked and which is often necessary to get into the opponent's heads.

We'll miss his experience on the pitch more than anything I'd say.

Still waiting for competition for Matty Cash ...

The fact we let him go says everything.  They obviously feel he wasn’t going to be good enough to get us where they want to go so I assume they have replacement upgrades in mind

You would hope so, but then we said the same thing about Ings being sold.

Ings was upgraded by not being replaced.

Said this for years, Everton fans are absolutely the worst of all the traditional big clubs.

All the self-importance and sactimony of the red half without the success

Have you done a virtual tour of their new stadium though?

Sorry, I've been forced to watch this by an Everton supporting pal of mine which is another reason why their prospective relegation last season would have been so hilarious.

Ings was upgraded by not being replaced.

We gambled on Watkins staying fit and it worked out.

No chance I want to be risking that in a potential 55-60 game season.

We'll probably pick up an RB near the end of the window unless Konsa is going to be a serious option for that position.

There's not a chance Emery would've kept Ings even if his tea leaves had told him WatkIns' season would come to an abrupt end in early February. He's a nominal centre-forward, but that doesn't mean he could do the job for Emery.

I think Emery was less than impressed with his attemps at concealing his baldness. Looks like he's 'been to Turkey' since, had he done this earlier he may have had a future here.

Matty Cash has been served notice.

I bet he's hoping for an away Conference League tie in Turkey.
