Was he not at fault for their first equaliser? The ball over the top came down his side but he was nowhere to be seen.

I hope that at the end of the season we give him a good send off

He has had a good career, but father time is now catching him up

No, that was August's son. Chambers positioning was dreadful too on the cover.

Emery made the right decision by playing again the legend Ashley Young. I believe Ash deserves far more credit and respect on these h and v and I will always support him.

To be fair to SG when at the helm, he praised Young's professionalism and winning attitude, and the great Dean Smith recognised the fitness and they both saw how he's a  model pro.

There won't be many players who are still at the top of their game at 37, like old man young.
What a fantastic clearance today against Spurs.
In those situations, players like Matty Cash handle the ball, resulting in a penalty and immediately ejection from the pitch
Ashley Young to me is quite brilliant.

It's a squad game, and he obviously won't play every match, but the use of Cash as an advanced on the right and keeping Young on was also masterful, and the club captain rightfully took the armband when McGinn came off ultimately leading us to victory.

I think sometimes people forget how good this guy is.
So I wanted to remind everyone he's one of the best players we have ever had in the Premier League era

Young has been superb this season. Showing not just great leadership and in-game management, he is still a really good footballer.

Who would have thought that out of the four  players we signed that summer Young would be the best value.

His attitude is first class. He could have returned from Man U and Inter having won almost everything there is to win and just coasted back with us. He epitomizes everything you want to see in a pro and such a brilliant positive example to young kids coming through as well as his current teammates.

Today was his 194th appearance for us. He made 192 for Man United.

He's been great since coming back, what a top professional he is.

He’s been a brilliant signing and can put to bed the saying about never going back.

Wow.  I’d guess he’d barely register with their fans but that’s a decent total.

He’s still a good footballer, so too early to change, but hopefully he’s given the opportunity to join the coaching staff in some capacity.   You definitely don’t want that know-how leaving the club.

Was given the Captains armband when Meatpie was subbed, fully deserved.
