Always the issue with a caretaker though. That's a very tough call to make.

How do you mean?

Should he use the microfibre mop or the squeegee.

It’s like being a supply teacher in a room full of bolshy teenagers.

Ah, OK. The players celebrated wildly with Danks And Sons after the goals against Brentford though suggesting love and respect. I guess it's easy to be generous when you're in a happy mood though.

Takoing a player off early in a game is a tough call for anyone because of the knock-on effects in can have. As a caretaker, that's a huge/bizarre call to make, especially so for Club Captain and our most experienced player.

The legend that is Ashley Young was named in Gareth Southgate provisional 55 for the World Cup.
Just proves further how quality he still remains.
He's not expected to be in the final 26 however it's a testement  to his professionalism and quality as a footballer.

Wonderful player.
Best Villa player in first half versus Man Utd.
Brilliant cross to create the second goal.

It was, but he seemed to clap Man U fans and not Villa, when subbed, at least that how it seemed to me from where I was stood.

He might have applauded them back when they applauded him.

Might off, it seemed he turned straight to them, but I could be wrong, he certainly clapped United first. But anyway it don’t matter, just an observation

He seemed to turn and clap the whole ground to me. We were much worse when he went off.

What’s kiddish? Just saying he seemed to clap Man U fans before Villa fans, I wasn’t sure he did clap Villa. It’s an observation, and if what I thought I saw was right, then bad form on him, doesn’t change how well he played.

That's fair. We're  all for observation here. What can  be seen and missed so its certainly possible.
On observations felt he was tiring and was right to be subbed
