He should only be a bit part player when needed.  Now, he's integral to the team.
Tbf he deserves to be an integral part of the team right now, injuries or not.

I agree.

The only other player that showed the same commitment was Ramsey.

But there’s more to commitment than getting involved in stupid arguments that end with a yellow card

The worrying thing is that if other players' form continues in this vein, Ashley will stand a good chance of being our player of the season!

I agree.

Me too.

He is one of a very, very small number of positives from the last year or so.

the fact that he is integral and not the role or squad player he was bought to be embodies perfectly the magnitude of the problems we have at the club.

That's up to the rest to sort themselves out. We shouldn't hold that against him. Well done Ash.

He moans at refs more than Fernandes at Utd.

I would imagine that Liam Ridgewell is not a fan of Young!

He is doing well for us at the moment - hopefully it continues

Indeed. If Ash wasn't around things would be much worse.

He’s been tremendous of late. Absolute credit to his profession.

My only worry is the number of games will start catching up with him. He's admitted himself he's not physically prepared to play every game. That said he was so important today. I can see him joining our coaching team next season. Love him.

I love the fact that every time Villa scored today he got them all in a huddle and spoke to them. Really good leadership and I agree he’s been amongst our better players so far this season.

Absolutely. 'That' pass today was fucking brilliant, and he clearly cares so much, which you'd think, at his age, would have to be because he has a real love of the club.

After the penalty is awarded he goes and take the ball and stands on the penalty spot so they can’t psych out Ings.
