Obviously no other club offered him the 2 year deal that he wanted.

I am alright with it. I imagine as an old head, he adds something on the training pitch.

Just watch the video on the chukwuemeka thread, if a lot of the kids we have high hopes for see him as a role model (as the chuk and scarlett video suggests) then I'm happy with keeping him around as cover for Digne. If it means we move him into a coaching role over the season then all the better. Regardless of what people may think of some of his career he's been playing top flight football regularly for 16 years and has stayed fit and reinvented himself to achieve that, his attitude is absolutely top notch.

Where was it reported that he wanted a 2 year deal?

He waited as long as he did waiting for a club to offer him a 2 year deal (if it is not the truth why did he not sign the 1 year deal offered by us in April / May?)

He wasn't due back in training until today, his old contract ran until Thursday, there's plenty of reasons why he might have held off but whatever the truth is it's had absolutely no impact on him or the club so who cares?

Well that's the £200+ increase on zone 6 seats justified

Exciting times

You still haven't said where that story come from so I presume you've made it up.

Hi Flin, I wondered if you had noticed that we've signed Coutinho, Carlos and Kamara in this window, all three very highly regarded players?

Young adds depth to the squad and made a significant contribution last season on and off the field.

You'll also be pleased to know our cheapest season tickets are still the 10th cheapest in the PL, with clubs like Wolves, Bournemoth and Brighton all charging more - so still great value in the context of PL football.

Hope all this helps and that you have a great week.

I'm trying Lee!  Seeing if sensible discussion helps.

He's now going to bang on about updated season ticket sales it seems. He's posted about it twice already today.

As for Ash, he did ok at left back last season when called upon. It was just when he was needlessly put into midfield that he looked past it.
