I'm perfectly happy to have Young in and around the squad. He played a useful roll last season and had some very decent games when called upon.

I don't think getting an understudy for Digne is as easy as it sounds.  Why would an ambitious quality player join us to compete with (but in reality be understudy to) a Fench international and one of our record signings?

Same here, I don't think signing (or not signing) Ashley Young is going to make our break our season.

It's a bit of an easy one I guess, I just hope we don't get to see very much of him this season.

Meh for me.
Didn't want him last season and saw little to cnvince me he'll be any better in the coming season. Why wouldn't he sign an extension though? No better offers were out there.

I am alright with it. I imagine as an old head, he adds something on the training pitch.

Ask him what the quality of the top is like

He's just happy he's secured his new contract to enable him to afford one for home.

A bread & butter signing IMO.

The fact Carney singles him out in that interview suggests you're right.

If he doesn't he'll have a cob on.
