Feyenoord are the worst finishers since the Sagrada Familia builders.

How has Harry Maguire got in the England squad over Chris Smalling?

Watching that game last night, Chris Smalling was very very good.

Southgate is a clown.

Mourinhoís stock has fallen so far that heís crowing over winning a third tier tournament in Albania in front of 20,000. Roma finished 6th 23 points off the top and not in the Champions League next season.

We'll be absolutely flying pre-world cup, top four, looking amazing, then post world cup we'll look like Steve Bruce's Albion.

I thought this too, bet we are flying before the season break

I'll settle for that possibility. Anyway, as I've said before, winter World Cup will be ace. Hate having to miss beer garden days for it. Winter you're indoors anyway so may as well watch the matches. Hope Robertson is suspended for the final so McGinn gets to lift the trophy.

Scottish hubris before World Cup always works out well although I do agree it could be an excellent tournament.

I wasn't being entirely serious. I think we have a chance of beating Ukraine though that will be a weird match. Wales have the hoodoo over us, though.

I'm not really looking forward to this WC. Coinciding with Christmas Party Season is going to make it a nightmare in the pubs when England are playing and I'm sure the emergency services aren't relishing that particular scenario.

Yes I know your comment was firmly tongue in cheek. My first World Cup memories though are of being on the march with 'Ally's Army' in 1978 and particular the Peru and Holland games. Hope Scotland make it through so I can support them and Germany in the tournament.

Iíve either forgotten or National football has really passed me by, but why is it in November and whatís happening to the football calendar? Is it going on hold?

It's in November because Qatar is very hot. Premier League football stops on 13th November and returns on Boxing Day.

Itís in November as host country Qatar will no cooler then as opposed to summer so the league season will stop in November for the tournament then resume once it finishes. So it will have a knock on effect for the following season as well.

Ok thanks CD.

Iíve probably forgotten all this and the reasoning behind having the finals there in the first place.
