Unfortunately the FA, PL or EFL will do nothing about mass pitch invasions until the unthinkable happens and some coked up moron runs on and stabs someone - needs pre-defined huge points deductions (30/40/50 points) / instant cup disqualifications in place that everyone knows about beforehand ie Forest would have been instantly kicked out of play-offs & all would have been aware of that before kick off, that would have kept majority off the pitch & given stewards/police chance to stop the odd one who was too off their face to bother about consequences.

On the BBC website Mark Lawerson has managed to preview the Man City vs Villa match without mentioning Aston Villa or any of their players once.

Does he say anything about Wolves either?

Patrick Viera accosted and kicked out against an Everton fan.

I don't blame him really.

The pitch invasions have really got out of hand, sadly a few dickheads have to spoil it.
Looks like there was some trouble at the port Vale game as well.

I agree to a point, but if someone ran into my workplace and did, and I turned round and attacked him, I'd be out of a job and in court immediately.  Shouldn't be any different for Vieira

From what I remember Cloughie was praised when he lamped those lads who ran on the pitch, and they weren't running up to him and giving him abuse as was the case with Vieira.  Surprised they only came away with a kick, they should have been left trying to pick up their teeth with a broken arm.

Not the same circumstances at all, not even close. You aren't surrounded by 40,000 drunken idiots spewing vitriol at you for two hours. I have no sympathy for the pitch invaders and quite frankly it was one of most pathetic things I've seen in top flight football in some time, twice. A club the size of Everton surviving the drop shouldn't result in a pitch invasion or celebration - go tf home and be ashamed. After what happened to Billy Sharp I'm in Viera's corner.
