When it went to penalties, it reminded me of the 1990 WC semi final, thinking Shilton was far too old and cumbersome to get near any of the penalties - same with McGregor.

It did cross my mind as Ally McCoist bigged him up. Ally trying to stay positive no doubt. Even so, I donít think thereís one of the pens he could have saved. Shilton, on the other hand was an embarrassment that night. I felt a bit sorry for him. That was until I discovered he was as thick as shit and a right wing twat.

Not really relevant, but the first time I heard the word cvnt was related to Shilton.

I was maybe 7 or 8, and our neighbour was a big Villa fan who used to give us programmes and all sorts. One day he gave me a signed photo of Shilton that he'd got at a book signing or something. I didn't know who Shilton was (before my time), so trying to be polite, I said "thank you, but don't you want it?"

His response was, "I did, I queued up for 20 minutes, but I spoke to him and he was a cvnt".

Just watched on BT Sport probably the best summary of our greatest years.  Must be hayfever season again.  My eyes are bit misty.  Is it on YouTube so I can forward to my old man?

Bale and Ramsey are probably 2 players that Steven wants us to sign along with Suarez in the summer "we need experienced players"

Spit on.

They could have done with Robert Greenie in goal.

I haven't got BT Sport so was listening on the radio.
When it did go to pens I did think to myself.
"Snot going to go well is it?"

Not sure what results have been like previously between them, are they a bogey team?

"God's in His Heaven, / All will be well with the World!"

Yes. If there is one, there isnít, but just in case.

I know there isn't. Take it up with Robert Browning!

I did but he was too busy stuffing his face with cake.

Irrelevant in such a high pressure situation, just need to remain phlegmatic.

One for the legal eagles, but if - as seems likely - the twat who bullcharged Billy Sharp the other night gets a custodial, what sort of jail time would he be looking at?

Could use the Grealish incident at the Theatre of Dims as a guideline, but this seems way more serious.
