ICT win it on penalties. :(

You could sense the Arbroath player rushing the penalty before he missed it.

Thought Huddersfield were far the better team and Luton didn't look very good at all

The crowd on telly has sounded weird since fans were allowed back. Convinced it is partly piped in or amplified in some way.

As an aside, attended the World Snooker Championship quarter-finals the other day. The announcer got us all to cheer for the World Champion in advance so they could use our cheers on the telly after the final. Presumably they were worried the final crowd wouldn't be sufficiently cheersome.

Get fucked with that, if you want me to perform for your production you can pay me to come, not the other way around.

You would have joined in. There was a lot of peer pressure. You don't want to piss off John Higgins fans.

What happens to the Europa League places for the Carabao and FA Cup winners this season ? They used to revert to league placings and before that losing finalists (FA Cup anyway) but seemingly no more.

Hi LSV
Usually it's top 7 max that would be within any chance of European football via the league if the Domestic Cup winners finish in the  European places (top 5 or 6) in England

So unless you qualify via the league places for champions league then
Win the FA cup you go into the Europa League
Win the league cup you go into play off for the Europa Conference league.

Officially it's this
a) If the FA Cup winners finish in the top five of the Premier League, their Europa league group stage place will go to the next-highest ranked team not qualified for UEFA competitions in the Premier League.

b) If the League Cup winners finish in the top 5 of the Premier League (or top six if (a) happens), their Europa conference playoff place will go to the next-highest ranked team not qualified for UEFA competitions in the Premier League.

All the best LSvilla

I see Jeff Stelling has reversed his decision to leave Soccer Saturday, which is good news, nobody does it better, as the song goes. His mate Kammy 'It's unbelievable Jeff' is retiring after 24 years with Sky, I understand due to health reasons.

They haven't reverted to losing FA Cup finalists since 2014, you may have noticed our lack of balmy European nights in the 2015/16 season. The cup winners' places will go to the teams that finish 6th and 7th.

Thanks for the answers about European qualification. Last season Man City finished first and Leicester finished 5th. However only Leicester (5th and FACup winners) and West Ham (6th) went into the Europa League and Spuds (7th) went into the Conference. So did we lose a place ? On the face of it no one qualified for the EL via league position (ie: Leicester via FACup and West Ham had Man City's place. Apologies if I'm being a bit thick.

Julian Warren does a good job when he stands in for him on Tuesday/Wednesday Soccer Special and yes, Chris Kamara is retiring due to him suffering from Apraxia of Speech

The Beeb have just shown our manager's goal in the 2006 final, what a strike.

Warta v Lech in Poland

Substitute on 6 seconds…

Didn’t realise what was going on until there was a guard of honour.

The player, number 6, aged 38 had spent most of his career at Warta and Lech, both Poznan teams.
