I still think the main reason they signed Grealish was to stop him from joining one of their rivals.

Hmm, not sure, maybe, but much as I find Guardiola hard to like (heís alright, I suppose), I donít think heíd go for shit like that - heís pretty serious about building teams.

Pretty serious? Like a billion fucking pounds serious? Christ I could do that on Championship Call Of Duty Minecraft or whatever it is the kids play. Heís a fraud.

If thatís the case not having a good centre forward seems pretty remissÖitís not like they are taking the cushions off the sofa to find spare change

It's the MLS final this weekend, Portland Timbers v New York City.

However what caught my eye most was this news:

I know it's the MLS, but I guess there is a decent  player there.

3rd Villa player to win it in its 25 year history.

Ross McCormack carrying a couple of Michelins round the waist scored goals in the A League - similar standard to MLS - these two in the final might compete in the Championship play-off race at a push

I agree that's probably about the right level although those two teams certainly aren't the best in the MLS. However that's the vagaries of their play off system at the end of the season.

I think the MLS is an upgrade on the Aussie league though. They are able to attract a better standard of player in the US.

Blimey, Lee Hendrie is on live co-commentary again tonight, on the south coast at Portsmouth v  Sheffield Wednesday.  He may not be the most perceptive of pundits, but he's certainly one of the most hard working.

I quite like Don Goodman on co-commentary, he says what he sees and talks a lot of sense.  He must be doing something right as Sky promoted him to our game on Sunday.

He's one of the few that sounds like a real football fan rather than some tit who's been on a public relations away day. He also just used the word 'swazz'. I always enjoy listening to him.

I could only think of Robbie Keane, but then I realised what you'd done there 🙂

The worst is Clinton Morrison. What even is his accent?

Mr Clinton 'Birminum" Morrison. Surprised the noses never take issue with that pronunciation.

Lil' Lee is alright.

Doesn't tend to talk in generalities like Lawrenson, Souness and the other bluffers who still get away with it somehow.

Heavy snow fall in Bergamo for the Atlanta game. The start has been postponed but the way itís falling it looks in doubt to me.
