Aren't Man City about to sign a billion pound sponsorship renewal deal with Etihad because they won their APT case? I'm sure we must have associated parties that can bung us £500m.

Pretty sure our owners will be working on them as we speak

We already announced an APT deal last week, not sure if it was worth all that much though, but it all helps.

It’s peanuts in the grand scheme of things but the large turnover clubs have dozens of those so we just need to replicate and with our current high profile with a decent commercial operation we should be bringing in extra revenue.

Fuck me in their pomp Redfilth had the likes of "John Deere - providing Man U with all their tractor needs" seemingly sponsors are not so keen nowadays to be associated with them

What we need to do is sign the two highest rated Chinese 21-22 year olds, play them in the Carabao, maybe FA Cup games, work with a well known Chinese influencer and build a credible Chinese fan site.

The club can't even keep the Spanish version of the club news up to date on the OS. Last update was the end of last season. Pretty unforgivable given the manager and various players are Spanish or from Spanish-speaking nations.

Considering the sums involved it amazes me we haven't tapped into other markets in this way. Smart marketing, social media and 1-2 stretgic purchases could make us a fortune. Son is solely responsible for about half of Spurs social media following. It helps that he was sensationally good!

This week’s Price of Football pod said that the sale of the women’s team to NSWE has gone through.

Yep I posted that earlier when Kieran Maguire mentioned it. So it’s in this financial year not the previous one.

Just reading the UEFA punishment, and specifically the financial constraints regarding players / costs

https://editorial.uefa.com/resources/029b-1e280b615680-700e46bcfcfa-1000/aston_villa_summary_version_3-year_sa_20250704174251.pdf

7. Sporting Disciplinary Measures
• The Club agrees to be subject to a sporting restriction and, as a consequence, may not
register any new player on its List A to UEFA club competitions unless the List A Transfer
Balance is positive.
• The List A Transfer Balance is defined as the difference between the cost savings from
outgoing players (“Cost savings”) and the new costs from incoming players (“New costs”) at
any applicable deadline for the Club’s submission of its List A.
• The sporting restriction is foreseen as follows:
• It unconditionally applies in the 2025/26 season;
• It conditionally applies in the 2026/27 season, if the Club has a Football Earnings
deficit in the reporting period 2025;
• It conditionally applies in the 2027/28 season, if the Club exceeds the 2026 Target;
and
• It conditionally applies in the 2028/29 season if the Club exceeds the Final Target
by less than EUR 20 million.
• Should the Club exceed any Target of the Settlement by more than EUR 10 million, but less
than EUR 20 million, the limitation shall be more restrictive, as the calculated Cost savings
from outgoing players shall be reduced by 50% (i.e., the New costs from incoming players
will have to be less than 50% of the Cost savings from outgoing players).
8. Compliance with the Settlement Agreement
• The Settlement Agreement shall expire when the CFCB confirms that the Club has reached
compliance with the Football Earnings rule, at the latest at the end of the Settlement Regime.
• Where the Club complies with the Final Target of the Settlement, the Club will be able to exit
the Settlement Regime.
• If the Club demonstrates, to the satisfaction of the CFCB, compliance with Football Earnings
rule on an aggregate basis for the reporting periods ending in 2024, 2025 and 2026, the Club
will be granted an “early” exit from the Settlement Regime and any Sporting Disciplinary
Measures shall cease to apply starting from 2027/28 season.

Are they saying if we conform, the earliest we can get a reset to "go for it" would be ahead of the 2027 season?

Marc Guehi’s signing will likely take Manchester City’s spending to ~£500m in the last 12 months. All while we STILL await the verdict of their 115 potential financial breaches. Ah yes. Seems completely normal.

It’s beyond a joke now. They might as well take the cheque handover the trophy and then let the rest f he league play for second place.
It’s totally meaningless if and when they win it.

You can still get them at 4/1 to win the title.

That looks like decent odds, I am not a gambler though unless in a casino or at the Races.

Same here (even in casinos), but I thought that looked like decent value.

Fortunately I do not visit casinos that often.
I would never open a bookmakers account ,that is a slippery slope.
But if I happen to walk past a boookies and remember I might have a little dabble.
It might be a bit strange last day of the season as there is I think I would rather them than classless Arsenal because them winning it is no longer relevant.

It’s looking more likely by the day the maximum punishment will be a transfer embargo and they know it. 10 years ought to go somewhere near levelling the playing field.
