I don't get it. A week ago he was considered good enough to start at Monaco in a massively important game, and was possibly our best player (albeit in a dreadful team performance). Now he's gone out loan, despite other players injured or out of form, and a very congested fixture list.

Fair point, but after tonight the fixture load will ease up.

Like Carlos, probably one of our higher paid given he was our record signing and Arsenal were interested (presume we had to offer a fair bit more in salary than they did).

The lad hasn't regularly started games in 18 months, probably feels its now or never for him and Leverkusen is an incredible move for him.

Buendia came on as a sub for Leverkusen; had a shot saved, but the rebound was scored, then was subbed off, as Leverkusen had a red card.

Eventful debut.

Our Emi, on loan at Bayer apparently not popular with Boniface

Boniface needs to pick on someone his own size, the big bully.

Leave our Emi alone, you boney-faced fuck.

I'm glad his teammates backed him up.

Boniface is probably still grumpy that he didn't get his massive Saudi pay-day when they rejected him in favour of Duran.

Although Buendia hitting it with his left didn't have a defender in the way, unlike Boniface hitting it with his right,
