It’s hardly surprising he’ll have put a Few kilos on due to the length of time spent in recovery before he could do any serious strength or aerobic work.

That's countered by the club having nutritionists and dieticians who will have an individual plan for him.

And perhaps the plan is focused on keeping his weight where it needs to be for where he is in his recovery. He's not going to look as trim as players doing PL level training every day.

True. A small calorie surplus is recommended post surgery to aide recovery. Realistically he's not going to be part of our plans until pre-season.

Quite a lot of plastic surgery…

Learning to speak Scottish might be the trickiest bit.

I’ve really missed little Emi this season. I thought he was looking great in pre-season and was gutted when he was injured.

Really looking forward to him coming back.

I would imagine John (& Mrs, if there is one) McGinn would be in favour of this.

I’d be happy to be that much ‘overweight.’

Yeah, but it's relative - you're a dude on the internet, he's a professional footballer

Certainly missed his work rate and love his attitude on the pitch too. Likes to wind the opposition up. A good pre season for Mings and him and the midfield and defence will have a real boost.

Nice little video on his Insta stories thingy that's been reposted on Twitter. Doing ball work and some good movement. He'll add a lot to this team when he's back.
