Mortadella always reminds me of that cheap luncheon meat they used to give us at Little Blocko Junior School.

Made me want to woof my cookies.

Yeah, was never keen on mortadella in all my trips to Roma.

Italy definitely serving notice on everyone else in the tournament, particularly France!

Not a massive fan of it either, Prosciutto di Parma for me.

Alright I admit that's a bit more to taste. Speck then. Or all the prosciutto.

Ah shit I'm hungry.

It seems that Switzerland have qualified for the finals of every World Cup and Euros since time immemorial, but have been a waste of space throughout that spell of time.  The only reason I offer this perspective is that after the next world cup in Qatar in 2022, the number of countries that will compete in the world cup finals (ie from 2026) is being raised raised from 32 to 48.

Yeah, the Swiss never score goals. I mean, Ireland don't either but we usually put up a fight when we get to a tournament.

of all the countries I have visited, with the notable exceptions of a few towns. Italy served up the most crap poor value food I have been offered.
People said , "you should eat where the Italians eat " well I was in Rome and it was full of the fuckers, the food was overpriced and disappointing

Yes, I do like my Italian cold meats and cheeses, but mortadella is a bit of a puzzler.

Locals means people from the town. You can find Italian tourists getting fleeced as well in Rome. The standard and price of the food even in supermarkets is madness, I can tell you.

Chiellini could be a big loss though...on the flip side Verratti will be back from injury soon to give them another option in midfield. They are a well drilled team. Switzerland were a joke I thought. Their two bleached blonde guys in particular, CB whose name I can't recall and Xhaka seemed to think running after opponents was optional.

Sorry, why do we want Italy to win, exactly?

Because good mortadella is seriously cheap here.

Make the best wine in Europe too.
Glad you qualified that by saying 'in Europe'.

It seems MaGuire has declared himself fit for the Scotland game.
Mings out, then.

Mings - the defender that's so bad, England have kept 9 clean sheets in the 11 games he's played. ::)
