Interesting - not sure him getting a chance suggests the chance of a new contract is gone.

Think its all speculation.  Wouldnt surprise me if he signed - think if he was genuinely going they wouldnt involve him

He needs to be less passive if he's going to make an impession, wherever he ends-up. Drive forward boy with purpose and less of the languid, safe backward passes.

Good performance. He'll be some player. No point writing him off over paper speculation, and there's plenty of time to sort contracts. Let's see how he handles game time, because he's gonna have minutes over Christmas.

I might be sounding harsh as hes very young and hardly played but I saw a lad who is not signing a new contract come on as a second half sub and largely stroll around. I like the fact that he seems to all of a sudden turn up in advanced positions like for the chance he had but personally I think there are at least 5 players ahead of him at the mo and Im hoping we sign someone too.

If hed have taken that chance, hed have forced his way into contention. Guess hell have to just go back to plan A, get the agent to agitate.

He was dreadful when he came on, did absolutely nothing. Strolled around, not getting into decent positions, and not doing anything with the few touches he did have. Not ready for this level yet.

The pace of the game was too fast for him. Tough game to come into though

He probably scores that chance for the U23's, but he now knows what it's like against top class opposition.
The experience will improve him.

Feel he could have taken it first time and gone across Ederson but young lad learning his trade, those moments are invaluable. Good to see him get in that position. Felt he struggled a bit with the pace but again his positional discipline was good, he was up against Rodri and he didnt embarrass himself, couple of nice passes/tackles to.
