He's a kid who is obviously coveted by others. He'll hang on and see what offers come his way, who wouldn't.

He can't sign for anyone else yet, so why not wait and see what's going to happen. I suspect he may well get an opportunity, but he'll have to earn it.

I reckon Ramsey (A) will turn out the better player anyway.

If he's good enough to earn a new contract he will get one. If not he'll be on his way. We have a manager who knows a thing or two about decent midfield players

This smacks of the player's agent rocking the boat to (a) try and put CC in the forefront of Gerrard's mind; (b) ensure that his next contract, whether it be here or else is worth several more thousand per week; or (c) both of these.

A very critical time for a player in his situation, make the wrong call and he will have plenty of time to rue his decision.
Not signing and trying to force your way into the first team is a pretty precarious strategy.

At the risk of being flippant it is like the scene in Mel Brooks Blazing Saddles when the new black sherriff of Rock Ridge holds himself at gun point and says to the lynch mob "one more move and the N gets it".

Differenty type of players but I think Aaron has the x factor. I think we should be loaning him out to a decent Ch'ship side after Christmas.

Do you think loans would help keep some of these players happy, a la Chelsea?

Why canít we just sell him, retire his shirt number and paint a picture of him outside the ground?

Interesting comment by Gerrard about his job being about bringing in the right players but also keeping the right players.

Agree with loaning out A.Ramsey..Divisions 1&2 would be more suitable.Getting used to the physicality by getting more game time is crucial.
Aaron seems to be pacier than Carney and I wonder if a lack of pace might hinder the latter's development.

proof how an agent can ruin a young player's career before it has really begun

Held his own againt one of the best teams in the world and could easily have scored with just a bit more composure, tough chance given the circumstances though.
