It’s at Goodison - you just know Dean will play Barkley.

I wouldn't be surprised at all.

When Jacks out, Deano always gives the opposition the 'initiative' by only playing one up front.

When Jacks playing, the opposition will be less attack minded and wary of Villa on the break. This gives us the 'iniative'.

Jack is out again. Deano, try something different, play two up front, shock the opposition and give us the 'iniative' an hour before the game even kicks off. Howsabout:

                           Martinez

             Konsa       Mings         Hause

Cash                                                   Targett

                  Luiz             McGinn

                          Traore

            Davis                     Watkins

Subs: Usual Suspects

Why not try three at the back and two up top for a change, we need this flexibility for the future. Be good to have a Plan B.

Just a thought   ::)

So we meet up with Carlo Ancelotti for the first time in 10 years, no doubt one of the greatest managers of all time, won 3 Champions Leagues and runner up in 4 finals. His Chelsea side, which won the title in 2010, were superb to watch, scoring a total of 103 goals in that season, although we did manage to beat them at VP 2-1 Dunne and Collins the scorers, won't mention the reverse fixture.

Getting back to Villa, would like to see Davis start and hopefully Chuk given some game, neither of which I very much doubt will happen. Going 1-1, with Davis doubling his goal tally for us.

I think he was manager last year, though I may well be completely wrong! If so, my mistake!

Seriously, 7 (SEVEN) European Cup finals?! I knew he was good, but that's some going.

Definitely I'd suggest. Ramsey to come in off the bench again I'd say. AEG certainly deserves a start over Traore too based on their respective performances v West Brom.

Yeah of course he was, my apologies, I blame it on my age, as I do most things!

This will be the 205th time Villa and Everton meet in the top league and it's still the record.

2-1 to us, I think Davis will start and score with Barkley getting one too. Interesting game this one
