Next season's kits
« on: April 27, 2021, 01:07:03 PM »
Any news at all? Teams are starting to unveil theirs now, we still with Kappa for next season?

I also made these, I didn't want to bump an old thread so thought I'd leave them here, for the 150th year coming soon.

Home (based on 1874 - http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Aston_Villa/Aston_Villa.htm)

Away (based on 1878 - http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Aston_Villa/Aston_Villa.htm)

Third (based on some trophy some time)

Used Adidas cos of Nassef. Cheers.

You've gone bold and early, Smirker, fair play. You've also stolen the thunder of some chap called...Marshall(?) who usually pops-up in the summer with his creations.

I haven't bought a Villa shirt other than retro ones for over twenty years but if we ever had an Adidas strip I'd be one of the first in the queue for it.

I realised I stopped liking shirts when they started making them out of plastic.

Nas Sawiris (Aston Villa and Adidas shareholder) loves you!

These are all great Smirker, but Addidas will want their three stipes down the arm.  I also can't see us changing the badge, unfortunately.

I'd be all over the home & away shirts if they looked like that (especially if they're sans-sponsor).

I think we should only bring back the 1982-style away kit if we actually qualify for the Champions League at some point. It would be a nice touch.

I don’t like the hooped shirt even if we did wear it back in the day. Claret shirt, blue sleeves please. The away one they  can do what they like with though it’s preferably white or yellow.

I'd have them. I'd also like them sponsor-less for the season too.

We never get the kits out early, we are obviously minted as we don't seem to care about making money.

Whilst I broadly agree with this principal, I think it would be good to have a change occaisionally, particulalry when it's to an historically influenced kit like this - Smirkers idea is the original 1874 kit for our 150th year, which I think would be fantastic.  I'd also like to see us wear the striped 57 FA cup shirt for a season.

I'd take Umbro again over adidas. I don't think they made one bad kit for us in an admittedly short time. Some of their efforts over recent years have been great too, particularly some of the Brazilian clubs in my opinion.
