With Bailey, Buendia, Watkins/Ings, Archer and Traore ahead of him, it's not a surprise and is a positive move to get game time at a decent standard.

If he starts 10-15 games between now and the summer there's absolutely no way you can call it a step back from a single 4 minute appearance in the premier league this season, a similar FA cup appearance and a couple of league cup games.

He's not even 20, this is the perfect time to be loaning him out for half a season.

Listed like that you have a good point.
I suppose that I hoped he be progressing this season
Look at Ramsey now he's such involved
Hopefully JPB can take the experience and get the relevant game time
Just all to aware players get lost in loan systems that don't work out yet aren't yet able to fit in 1st team squad.
It's up to JPB  how he handles the loan because he may feel a step down has happened for him
Of course Stoke have to give the player experience of playing and think championship level is fine like you say.

I'll also add that I think he'll almost certainly get game time, because he's good enough to.

That's a good point when I think more.
As I say just has to be given those games.
I think some players have been loaned out before and hardly featured
Never know if that's manager not really wanting to trust a young player ,  sometimes it's the attitude of premier league produced player with  a low level manger.
Both he and Davis have found decent level clubs and hope that 20 matches can really show something

Exactly. Right now he's not quite good enough to play regularly in our first team but far too good to be sitting on his arse. Like others, from what I've seen of him he's the real deal. The experience can only be a positive.

I agree. Think it's a really smart move for him (& us). Spent far too long clinging on to players on the offchance we'll need them in the first team. If he does well there, he'll have a much stronger claim to be coming in to our first team.

What about his injury, a tightened pelvis was it? Must have loosened-up.

On the bench for Stoke today. Hopefully he gets a few minutes against a team that be in the Premier League next season.

Got 10 minutes and hit the post (admittedly with a massive deflection).

I'm really excited about what he can do in the second half of the season. The Stoke boss seems excited by him too so hopefully he'll get plenty of time on the pitch.

Scored his first(?) senior goal on-loan for Stoke tonight, on his 20th birthday! Good man Bidace!

Looks like that is going to be some argument between the Stoke, Forest and PNE fans as to who has got the best player on loan - they are in love with him already:

They all seem to think that he could be the next Ricardo Fuller. Praise indeed.

Imagine how starved of fun you must be that *he* is your go-to reference for how good someone could be.
