I was 10 and listened to the Arsenal game on the radio at my granny’s (RIP) in Small Heath. When Bosko did his bit for the cause it was so exciting. Such a lovely memory.

I was also ten and listened to it on the radio (BRMB) at home as I did a lot of the games that season. I didn't start going every other week until the 1981/1982 season. The only game I went to in the title winning season was the game away to Small Heath.

Real rollercoaster of a day. Thought we'd blown it until the news started filtering through of Bosco's goals. Traffic jam all the way back to the M1 so we were out the car and dancing in the streets. Not sure we stopped drinking till it was time for the Town Hall parade the next morning! What a ride from the dark days of relegation to the Third division.

I was at the civic reception at the council house with my Mum and a Villa fan who worked for my Dad. It was cold, wet and windy.

Someone had a radio near to me on the clock end. The commentator said  "there's been another goal at Boro". Thought that's it the titles gone. Then heard Denis Law say " I want to be the first to congratulate Aston Villa on winning the title".What a moment !

I was listening to the radio as well.

I'd assumed that we'd need 'boro' to do us a favour, as we were so poor at Highbury. Trouble was, they'd shown how crap they were at VP the previous week when we stuffed 'em 3-0.

Then Bosko proved me wrong...
