Hard to believe we’re making Sheffield United look like Barcelona.

Are we?
Yes.

They look shit to me. But then Barcelona aren't the best these days I suppose.

The match thread is always a nice reminder of how the scoreline makes people see games differently.

Too many attacks break down with Ramsey and McGinn. Barkley and Sanson please.

Coming back from one down to Sheffield United is not (contra to popular opinion last year - not remotely beyond us.  Still expect us to come out on top.
Is the right answer! C'mon Villa! I'd bring Barkley on for his moment to shine.

We've had some good moments and Traore nearly scored the goal of the season but let's be honest about this. Sheffield Utd are headed for the Championship, have a 4th or 5th choice 38 year old centre back and he's been comfortable. We haven't been anywhere near good enough.

We have got to show more guile and cuteness going forward.

This is a very poor team we are playing. Let's show that.

Good that we've given this lot a leg up after they looked so sad and sorry for themselves recently.

On the plus side, if ever there was a team when we should still have a chance of winning after going behind it's this lot.

They're game, but not rank bottom for nowt.

Need more energy. More support for Watkins and getting Jagielka turned. He's older than God's dog.

Looks like I'm in minority but I don't think we were that bad. Thought we were much worse v Southampton and Brighton who on current form aren't that much better than Sheffield United.

Were well on top from 15 minutes onwards and they just strung together a really good move against run of play. Of course them being where they are makes it seem worse but it's not like they've been trashed regularly like we were in 15/16.

Would be hugely disappointing to lose but I don't expect that. Will probably have to use the subs bench to win this.

This is quite sloppy, we need to up the quality here. Keep the ball better.

Story of the year. We've never recaptured the form of December. The front three are our biggest weakness. How we change it I've no idea.

This for me.  We haven't been great but I don't see anything we can't turn around in the second half.  If we don't I'll it'd a bad defeat but at the moment it's just a hurdle to get over.

Shouldnt be losing that game. Elmo in no-mans land for their goal. McGinn should have scored early on and we should have had a pen when Ollie was sandwiched. Traore loose with the ball, though he made himself a good chance he should have scored from. Come on Villa!

We are missing some real quality.
The midfield is effective and functional, but McGinn, Ramsey or Nakamba don’t move the ball quick enough. Nakamba always, always needs to trap the ball then play it. He never plays it with his first touch.
I think Watkins looks isolated as well. When we go long he is stranded.

Lacking a bit of composure in the final third and getting forward in support of Watkins quickly enough.
