If we want to get to 60k, I think we'd want a lot more space, as you'd need space for the stand, but also for access and pedestrian areas around it, etc.

Not forgetting the required metro extension that will be needed to go under it and then head up to the Alexander Stadium. If we’re going to do it we need to do it big.

I think we’ll be looking, long-term, to acquire the land necessary to rebuild the Witton Lane stand, if only to improve the corporate offer and improve the concourses, which belong in another millenium.

The great thing is we can do lots of stuff leading up to that in the meantime to test 1) demand for extra capacity, 2) corporate space and 3) the ability to attract events on the 330 days a year when there’s no football. According to someone on skysrapercity we’re already quite busy in terms of business events/conferences etc. already.
