Wow

Look at page 2 of "Villa North Stand PRA Part 6" which is on the third page of documents.
The Russian maps? Didn't I read somewhere they the Russians had some of the best maps around of the other countries in Europe in ready for invasion. Obviously might be out of date by now though.

Yeah, there was a book about them a bit back, the USSR’s military maps were absolutely amazing - proper works of art, and ridiculously detailed.

It can all become a bit NIMBYish,
I’m all for ground development and an increase in capacity as long as it’s other people being moved about and not me, as long as I can stay put and continue to sit with my friends all things are good. That’s the way I felt last season. Unfortunately this season I’m on the move.
So of course it doesn’t always work that way

The saddest thing for me is a few people I know, and I’ve heard others on here reflect that they aren’t renewing
Some after many years even decades of supporting Villa, whatever straw it was that caused the decision that is the decision made,
I think that’s quite worrying for the club to be honest, yes there’s thousands more on on the waiting list but that list has just been exposed for what it is. A lot of people can’t even be arsed to turn up from one year to the next, so I can’t imagine they’ll be bringing much to the party

The atmosphere for all clubs around the country are going to struggle with the advent of trying to attract the corporate hospitality tourist Call them what you like type supporters whilst we are losing the very bedrock of what keeps us going through thick and thin, the so-called legacy fan

I’m getting on a bit and my time will come when I also throw in the towel and go what a mate of mine called ‘full armchair’ but that time has not yet come, mainly because the day is still a family day for me and that’s more important than even winning stuff

I think a lot of the new rules for season tickets and the general running of that side of the club seems to be softer than when Heck was was about, and I welcome that if that is indeed the case

I’m rambling on a bit now and probably not making a lot of sense, but I do feel that Football is at a crossroads right across the country and we’ll see some big changes in the way we watch football and who with over the next few years

All makes perfect sense John, and can’t disagree at all.  Not quite there yet, but if we continue going in this direction I can see a time soon where I just think thats enough.  Particularly coupled with yet more FA cup heartache.

Agreed John, I'm not far from the edge either. The fact that my seat isn't moving, and the price increase is just about within my acceptable limits will mean I hang around for at least another season, but I'm getting to the point where I'm thinking to myself, 'Do I really need this?'.

Outside of meeting up with your mates (*which being honest, you can do anywhere), the key benefit for me of GOING to a football match over watching on the telly, is being caught up in the atmosphere. We're already turning lifelong hardcore fans away in favour of tourists with more money than sense, and that very spectacle that they come to see is very quickly being eroded as a result.

For such an important game, Wembley was an utter embarrassment - The fans were as woeful as the players on the pitch.

I've also been to away games where some of the villa end aren't even Villa fans.... Overheard a group of posh, cockney pricks at Man City away chatting in the concourse - They were reps for some company and didn't even follow football, but were 'excited to see Man City'...... all whilst taking up 4 of our ridiculously high demand away tickets.

The hierarchy need to be careful what they wish for. If we see a drop to our 'normal' levels over the coming seasons, those dependable supporters who turn up no matter what, won't be there any longer as they'll have been pushed out and supporting Stourbridge Town and Kiddy Harriers, where they'll feel valued.

Thanks. That was a good watch. Almost tear in the eye stuff.

They appear to be removing walkway from between middle and lower Trinity

This years work takes us to 43,254. The North redevelopment increases us to 48,809 by 2027, however there appears to be additional plans to take us to 50,000 for 2026. I guess that's a realignment of other places.

Looks like they're removing a row of boxes.

No there aren’t boxes there. It’s a walkway with a tall wall. Looks like that is going!

I think you are both right. PWS is on about the North Stand, you are on about the Trinity based on the after picture. I would have thought that would have needed planning permissions to do as well.
