Oh and keep Marv in please Dean. We seem to do alright when he plays. Turning into Makélélé "light".

I thought we were outstanding tonght, first half we created chances and AEG took his chance well, second half snuffed Leeds out and we looked comfortable doing it. A great three points.

Excellent, dogged team performance. Nakamba continued where he left off from the last game and was MOTM for me. Elmo was also very disciplined and Mings was no nonsense.

Credit to Smith for making the necessary changes that were much needed. Did we miss Luiz and Barkley? The answer is no!

The midfield competed and we got a result.  Worth noting.

Well played everyone. Solid professional performance. I know Trez only came on towards the end, but I absolutely love his commitment. Thought we might struggle in this game, so what a great result.

Am really starting to think Konza is going tp be one of our all time time great centre backs. Outstanding display by him and he's that good, he looks anonymous. Well done all the boys. Hated every minute of that 😀

Phenomenal work rate from Villa, really put a shift in.
Ramsey doing what Barkley should be. pressing and making a nuisance.
old school away win

A win doesn’t come much sweeter than beating those cheating, moaning, dirty fuckers.

If you'd asked around after 10 games who Villa's three most important players were, chances are many responses would run 'Grealish, Luiz, Barkley'. Tonight, for reasons of fitness and form, we were without all of them, and coming off a terrible run of results and performances - and we went to a difficult ground and wrestled out three excellent points. A great display of spine, grit, and organisation.

Definitely. Every team that wants to go places needs their Ndidi or Kante. I'm not suggesting that Nakamba is in that class but he adds that physicality that makes us a better team.

Great stuff Marv.

Thought Mings and Konsa were immense. Really pleased for El Ghazi though. He didn't deserve to be dropped after being in the form of his life before.

Good to see us prove we can do it without Grealish too.
