I'm guessing a combination of a crap kick off time, relatively smallish crowd, waiting for a game to ignite that you should be winning easily.

I also got rained on.

Eight successive FA Cup defeats is an embarrassing record for a club that had won the competition more times than anyone when I was growing up singing “7 times we’ve won it no-one else can catch us up!”
Eight pissing defeats - our last five managers haven’t so much as earned a replay between them!
We were unlucky to lose at Old Trafford last year but other than that the only time we sent out 11 players who had a real go at the job in hand was the youth team v Liverpool.

If the owners aren’t furious over this record and well and truly embarrassed by the fact we haven’t won a game in their reign, then we may as well not bother entering again because they clearly don’t care about the part this competition plays in our history.

I make it 14 third round exits since 2002! Thank you Tim Sherwood for at least giving the younger generation a taste of what a cup run is like.

I'm starting to think the Birmingham Senior Cup is where we should be looking for some success.

We should put yesterday's team out against Tividale in the next round.

They would stand behind the counter and pass the food and drink to each other sideways.

Or do a shift in a food kiosk in the Trinity.

They'd just pass the food/drinks to each other for 5 minutes rather than quickly getting it forward to the person that wanted it.

But then Coutinho would launch it into the upper stands of the Holte, which could work.

Then Bailey would spill a drink all over the counter and run to the toilets crying.

Nah, Bailey would constantly bump into his colleagues and never reach his destination, before running to the toilets crying

They’d be by the back of the queues with no urgency asking to each person individually “Did you order curry & chips?”

At least Dave's last line raised a smile. Smile might be over stretching it but you know what I mean.

It’s been around two decades since Premier League clubs started putting out weakened sides in cup matches and in all that time I can think of hardly a single occasion when I’ve come away from the game thinking that some young lad has shown promise

Archer at Carlisle and at Chelsea?

Archer against Barrow and Chelsea.

Right you are
