Thanks Dave great read, the comparison with the 76-77 is a good one, it would be interesting to pick a best 11 between the 2 teams.

After last night we're no longer overdue at least one of those performances where we look awful.  Still it's been an amazing half-season exceeding most of our expectations.  Problem is we've been so good at times that expectations have been raised, and games like last night seem all the more frustrating.  I think we have to be patient and wait until next season before we have the experience, strength in depth and consistency to really challenge at the top end.

Enjoyable read Dave, thanks for that. Eighth in the Premier League after the Arsenal game and most importantly, good value for it, with potential to go higher and building blocks being put in place for the future. How we'd have settled for that just a few years back. Hard to believe what Dean Smith and the owners have achieved in just over two years at the club. Onwards and upwards, please!
