Targett MOTM for me.

I agree, he's a Rolls Royce of a left back.

I like the fact that, when Grealish comes off, it's obvious that Mings will take the armband from him.

Nice to have leaders on the pitch.

Steve Bruce thinking, who shall I blame for this? There's no fans here.

We really haven’t been great tonight.

3 points though.

Am I not the only one who would love to see Barry on the bench next game??????!!!

We've done what good sides do when they play against shit, we've been totally in control.

Targett transformation been amazing, nothing getting passed him.

Arguably our best player tonight and there are several candidates for that honour.

I'd have driven him back to Southampton myself last season. Now, I wouldn't take £70m for him.

I can't recall a  more comfortable 3 points, more so than Palace because we hardly broke out of 2nd gear tonight.

Targett and Konsa have been exceptional, Watkins and Marv very close behind. Bertie and Jack were in and out but gave the flashes of quality we needed to win the game comfortably.

For all the unjustified shit Villa fans got for not giving Bruce a chance because he used to manage Blues, we were miles more accepting of him than Newcastle fans.

Jamie Carragher -"Newcastle are becoming a nothing team with nothing performances. The fans don't like the owner, the manager or the team".
