Depends who had it really. If Watkins didn't or wasn't ill with it then it will have benefitted him having some time off.

I'm not too optimistic about this one myself but this team have surprised us before so fingers crossed for another one.

Sometimes you can get too obssesed with what Man. City do in open play. As good as they were yesterday I think three of their goals came from corners?

Reminds me of the league cup final. We were all worried they were going to pull us this way and that but in the end the crucial goal came from Rodri having a little stroll across the penalty box and heading in unmarked from a corner.

A corner that should never have been given.

Hope we give it a go and I think we will because that’s what we do now

Of course Man City are a fantastic team but they don’t always perform
And we are now well capable of causing them problems

The break doesn’t bother me remember people saying we should rest people for the FA Cup game Before the covid thing came into play,
well now they’ve had a rest and they’re saying they won’t be fit enough you can’t have it both ways

We handled the last Covid break crisis really well probably kept us up so there’s every reason to think we’ve got it right this time as well

Normally in times past I’d be saying we were going to get thrashed
Not this time
Of course we still might lose might even get thrashed but I’m not expecting it this time which is the main difference

I bet Barkley's hamstring has caught it.

So is this definitely going ahead? Is the training facility open now?

Yeah it's open since Sunday.

I'm assuming Trez with a hamstring injury and covid is definitely out. Are there any others?

I dont think the club will ever publish who did and did not have the virus - and why should they?

Lets hope its not any of the key players in our set up

Martinez (although Heaton is as good as anyone to step in)
Konsa
Targett
Luiz (Although would love to see Nakamba put another cruncher in like he did with Aguero at Wembley)
Jack
Ollie - the thought of Davis leading the line - i would save on bus fare and give them the points

Irrespective of who plays we all know Deano will go try and win the game - thats what Managers who earn MOTM do :)

Oh and 5.30 KO - thanks for thinking about the fans who actually still go out to work - cnuts

We can win this, they way we've been playing. Plus the players have now had a rest (the ones without Covid-19 obviously).

We've shown we can beat anyone this season and if, if we can win, people will start talking about us seriously. If we don't, there's always next week but these days I feel like we can go into any game and win it.

Hookeysmith, think you'll find it's a 6 pm ko - The Sheffield United and Burnley games were 6 pm ko's and Burnley game was 5.45 pm ko. The Man City game is a rearranged one, so presume that the tv companies don't or won't want to have up against Fulham v MU game at 8.15 pm ko that was already scheduled for Wednesday.

Shame this game never went ahead with the original fixture date when Man City were shit. Seeing their goals yesterday they're probably at their peak right now, unbelievable stuff.
