Osaka v Brady and Djokovic v Medvedev in the finals. Two clear favourites there.

Serena's search for 24 continues. Starting to look like she'll never catch the homophobic crackpot. I wonder if she'd retire if she wasn't so close. Then again Venus is still going so maybe she'd carry on regardless.

Djokovic wins his 9th Aussie Open in 3 sets, 18th grand slams now 2 behind Federer and Nadal, quite a bit ahead of Andy Murray.

I don't think Serena will make it to 24, which I don't think diminishes her as the greatest women's player ever - I know Court could only play what was in front of her, but it was a different time - although she isn't my personal favourite. I remain a big fan of Hingis and Henin, who relied on technique and tennis brain to compensate for "average" physical attributes, as opposed to say, Williams, Graf & Navratilova.

The greatest win of his career for Dan 'The Villa Man' Evans beating Djokovic in 2 sets at the Monte Carlo Open.

Rafael Nadal only 3rd seed for the French Open, how do they work that out?

Britain's number 1 Dan The Villa Man knocked out in the first round of the French Open, beaten in 4 sets by Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic.

She'll need more than that - needs a minimum of forty-eight to win a match.

I don't think she has much of a point from what I've read. I can sympathise that it is unpleasant to be interviewed after a loss, and the press can ask unpleasant questions, but she has not gone about it the right way. A unilateral declaration, followed by apparently totally ignoring follow-ups from the GS organisers to try and find a compromise. Like it or not, all tennis tournaments - that give her the platform to earn not just winnings from the sporting side, but also earnings from sponsorship - need media coverage to survive, and that means access to the players, hence why it is part of their contracts to do media duties.

Feel sorry for her if she has mental health issues, they could have been more accommodating.

The absolute gall of the people (usually pudgy, white, middle aged journo blokes who've never once had a job you couldn't do while drinking) accusing Osaka of lacking 'mental toughness'. If she didn't have that she wouldn't have won many top-tier tennis matches, let alone a slam. It takes a fuck of a lot of toughness to carry on through depression, and a lot of people have really revealed this week that they don't understand this.
