Yeah superb from Rose especially after he was 2 over after 7, sadly a round of 76 from Rory, knowing him he'll probably shoot something in the 60s in 2nd round.

You know your getting old , when you scan down the leaderboard of the Masters at round 3, and don’t recognise many names.

This is wide open. Looks like it’ll be a first time winner but a 4 shot lead going into the final round usually gives that player an 80% chance of winning. But this is The Masters and no Japanese golfer has ever won a major let alone a Green Jacket. That’s a lot of pressure to handle. Forecast is warm and dry so expect first day conditions again. It’s wide open still.

Some superb iron play from Matsuyama on the back nine gives him a 4 shot lead, can't remember him ever been in contention for a Major, so today's gonna be interesting to see if he can take the pressure. Despite rarely hitting a green in regulation, Rose still managed to scramble a par 72, hopefully he can find his 1st round form today.

Just when it looked like Schauffele may catch Matsuyama, he had a triple bogey on the 16th, and in the end the Japanese golfer won by one shot. Fair play to Maysuyama, that was a great achievement. Rose finished 7th and well done to Scottish golfer Robert MacIntyre finishing joint 12th, which means he gets an invite next year.

Other than that run on the back 9 in the first round Rose shot +4 I think. Putter went cold too. All a bit of an anti climax really.

Good performance by Norwegian Viktor Hovland finishing 3rd in Florida, might be a good each way bet for the USPGA starting 2 weeks on Thursday. Not great from the Brits, Poulter, Casey and Knox were the best all finishing joint 21st.

Well I didn't see that coming, Rory wins for the first time in 18 months with victory at the Wells Fargo Championship, winning by one shot with a final round of 68. Nearly cocked it up on the final par 4 hole, leading by 2 hit a wayward drive, took a drop, then from a poor lie hit a superb 3rd onto the green and finished it off with 2 putts.

So it's gonna be interesting now to see how he performs in the PGA in 10 days time, bookies already got him as favourite at 10/1.

British Masters starts today at The Belfry, the European Tour were hoping the government would allow 2,000 to attend the event, but were declined, despite the fact there'll be 20,000 at the Cup Final on Saturday, doesn't make a lot of sense.

I watched some of this. Great for Bland after 20+ years on tour

2nd major of the season starts today at Kiawah Island. Following his recent win Rory is joint favourite with Rahm at 12/1, Johnston and Spieth 16s, DeChambeau and Thomas 18s, Schauffele and Hovland 20s. Best English bet is Casey at 35s.

So Mickelson leads by one, can the old man do it and become the oldest Major winner at 50. Would love to see it happen, but Koepka is only one shot behind and must be the favourite, looking forward to tonight.
