DeChambeau really irks me. He had a right moan about the bunkers last night, and all I could think was "what a prick".

He's great to watch though and the way he's transformed his game is unreal.

Lee Westwood leads the Players by 2 shots from DeChambeau going into the final round, tomorrow should be good.

Should be great to watch. Westwood is playing perhaps as good a standard of golf as he has in his whole career. What I like particularly is how relaxed he looks. Just enjoying it.

Westwood let down by his tee shots today, which are usually so reliable. Thomas played brilliantly over the weekend to edge it.

Yes Westwood's driving was poor, I think he hit 6 out 14 fairways and it was often his putting that saved him. He did say afterwards he was feeling tired and age was catching up on him, 48 next month. Nevertheless finishing 2nd was a great effort.

Great win for Ian Poulter thrashing Rory 6 and 5 in the WGC Match Play Championship, as for Rory his new coach Pete Cowen has got a lot of work ahead of him to get the Irishman back to his best. Big surprise of the day was DeChambeau losing.

Gearing up for The Masters next week. Best tournament of the year by far.

Great win for Jordan Spieth at the Texas Open, his first victory since the 2017 Open at Royal Birkdale, can he do it again at The Masters, it's possible. Good tournament also for Matt Wallace, finishing 3rd.

I absolutely love Masters week. If I could attend just one sporting event (non Villa related) it'd be this.

Sounds like the biggest issues for Brooks Koepka will be actually walking the course.  Had a knee op just 3 weeks ago and Augusta is one of the more challenging courses to walk as it's so undulating.

Two of my colleagues went in 2019 for the Saturday and Sunday courtesy of the auditors. Big golf fans so enjoyed it but I sensed they thought it would be even better.

Masters odds

Johnson 9/1, DeChambeau, Spieth, and Thomas 11/1, Rahm 12, Rory 18, Cantlay 20, Schauffele 22, Koepka 28.

Johnson not in great form at the moment, if I had to go for a winner probably go for Thomas, sadly an English winner seems very unlikely Casey the best bet at 35/1. Koepka is playing despite having surgery on a dislocated kneecap only 3 weeks ago, I would have thought he would do well to complete the first 9 holes, let alone winning the tournament.

I am not a massive golf fan, never played the sport, but I do enjoy watching the Majors with the Masters being my favourite golf tournament

I think the Norwegian (i think that is where he is from, cant remember his name) is going to be a very special player in the next few years and win a lot of tournaments.

Victor Hovland, yes he's going to be a top player. He'll be in the Ryder Cup team later this year.

Fantastic round of 65 from Justin Rose. He got a bit fortunate with the wind dying off in the arvo but he barely missed a putt and played smart. The bombers like Johnson and Bryson just found themselves out of position constantly.

Greens look absolutely treacherous too - over 13 on the stimp, that's seriously quick. I've played on some fast greens in Oz that were maybe 10 or 11 so 13+ would be like putting on glass.
