That is a shock. Any idea what happened that led to his death?

Remember him scoring the winner in the opening game of the 2002 world cup against the then world champions France, it was a huge shock. RIP.

I had no recollection of him playing for Blues.

Two games, one goal.

He was a really big unit.

I seem to remember him being the bloke who broke Darius Vassell's ankle in a game at VP.

What a shame to die so young.

He was a pretty good player and part of some giant Fulham and Portsmouth teams. Terrified me every time they git a corner.

Only 5 years older than me.

I ran the London marathon in 2006 and had a few beers in the pub after with friends.

One of them, an Aussie woman, brought a mate of hers who was on the physio staff at Fulham. Apparently Boupa Diop was built like a god but absolutely refused to do any weights. It was his natural build - natural for a full time sportsman that is.
