I thought every man was exceptional but special mention to

Martinez - speed of thought after taking the cross to set Jack on his way - could be the signing of then season

Targett - Gets stick often but plays so well with Jack and Barkley down that wing

Barkley - when he is on it he is pretty damn good and finds space no one else can

Trez Bremner - the name is the best compliment i can give him - pure engine

Watkins - thought he was quiet first half, 2nd half and came alive - most impressive is that at 3-0 up he was chasing back and helping out Targett .

But most of all - Jack - there is no better footballer in Europe at present i would rather be watching - i would pay money to watch him if i was not a Villa fan. When you have even inbred noses acknowledging how good he is it says something.
If Jack does not fit into Southgates system - change the fucking system

He is the best player of a generation - he has, quite simply, everything

Fantastic performance. Just fantastic.

I keep looking at third bottom place in the league table to see how far we are from relegation.

I need to be more positive, our players clearly are.

Onwards and upwards  :)

I watched the game last night and thought all 11 were excellent, had a look at the match thread on here to see comments like McGinn is playing abysmally, Matty Targett is struggling to kick the ball today, Cash is a worry. Just goes to show the many differnet views on a game of football.

During games it probably the very worst time to make an objective holistic assessment. Too much emotion takes hold.

I have been to lots of games a neutral in my ground hopping days and much just easier to see who is having a good game.

I can't believe how well a Championship striker and a Chelsea loanee have fitted in and improved our side. Luiz, Barkley, McGinn, Jack, Trez, Watkins were playing some exhibition stuff last night and really seem to have gelled. Targett also seems to be more confident.

A really impressive part of this team is that every player is capable of carrying the ball. Jack of course is exceptional at this, but every other player can do it to some degree and means that we can turn defense into attack very rapidly from all areas of the pitch. Even the goalie plays on the front foot.

But Targett has looked fitter recently.

The difference to last season is that the WHOLE TEAM looks fitter. They look as fit in the 90th minute as the first minute.
Against Liverpool and last night we actually grew stronger the more the game went on. Makes hell of a difference when we
don't have the quality to bring off the bench.

Slightly off topic but I really hope we take the FA Cup very seriously this year. With the fixture conjestion your Liverpools/Man Citys etc. will probably take it even less seriously than usual. We've already proven we can beat anybody in the country on our day and I think we'd have a real chance in it this season if we play the strongest possible side from round three.

Even the goalie plays on the front foot.

When you have  a goalie who can launch an attack like Martinez did last night, it's like having another outfield player on the pitch.

There was a cameo of Jack late in the game where he was surrounded by 3 Arsenal players and a quick drop of the shoulder and turn and he was away from them in a heartbeat - truly world class

He really does have everything - and he is ours  ;D

The 3rd round is in the middle of a tough run of fixtures Chelsea, Man United and Spurs all around it.

My stream went down so I missed this, Christ almighty! It reminds me of a famous piece of skill Iniesta did against Gago and one other in that 6-2 Clasico in 2009.
