A shame he had so many injuries last year when we were allowed to watch him live. Offered something different with bags of skill mixed with madness. If it was the 70s he’d be smoking loads of tabs, drinking lots of beer and be lauded as a maverick talent, ala Marsh, Worthington, Currie etc.
i think we should of kept him. If and when El Ghazi goes id expect us to be getting another forward in.

His best moment was making De Bruyne look like a pub player. A very strange footballer Traore. From worlide to Tonev, often in the same move.

The way he orchestrated that overlap at the start was brilliant. I'll miss him when he's gone. It was fun watching a front three of El Ghazi, Davis and Bert showing more of a clue than the current occupants, even allowing for the opposition.

Express & Star reporting a loan-to-buy move to Basaksehir as close:

Good you need grafters in the premiership - we have enough individuals

Yeah, when we are desperate for a goal and the opposition see one of our subs coming on they can often be heard to exclaim "oh no, they're bringing on a grafter!".

He is undoubtedly talented, but he's unfortunately not consistent or reliable to any great degree.

That Albion goal, though, absolute top level. I could watch that on loop for a day and still not get bored.

He brought a bit of excitement but not often enough. Not consistent enough for where we want to be, but, we ain’t there yet!

But PW it should be the job of our coaching and motivational staff to turn his very unique talent  from occasional to consistent. Players like Bert are worth the ticket price on their own.
