I don’t doubt that’s true. Imagine being Konsa and Watkins and seeing your teammate being tapped up like that.

I appreciated that they’d be doing the same too!but it’s easy to see how the situation would quickly become toxic.

Every player is tapped up by the club that wants to buy them

Back in the day, a selling club would need to agree a fee with the buying club, then give permission for their player to speak to the prospective buyer. Now it feels as with Morgan Rogers or seemingly Bruno Guimarães it’s the opposite. That the player agrees financials and waits for the two sides to hammer out a deal.
I remember DOL getting done for tapping up James Beattie

Have a guess which friendly local news outlet is reporting it.

Apparently, Big Emi got his pick-up truck stuck in the mud back in Argentina, and had to be 'rescued' by passing neighbours who found him.

He thanked them all by signing shirts and pictures for them, and even giving one of them the Argentina jacket he was wearing.

Yep, it’s almost like players are humans and not owned assets!

Well the players are under contract so in essence they are owned assets.

Certainly feels like that in the NFL. I hope you're enjoying your breakfast? And by the way, we've traded you to Buffalo, so off you pop.

That definitely happens in US sport. There's even been players traded in the middle of a game.

Dan Bardell on Twitter is claiming Villa need to sort the 'uncertainty' over Emi's future with the club.

I don't see any uncertainty myself. Juve are skint and Villa have no incentive to let him leave on the cheap.

Is there a reason many clubs seem to be swerving Martinez? Is he on huge money with us??

Well he is on lots of money, but also he’s worth quite a lot to us so we’re not willing to compromise on our value.
