First airing of world's no 1 this season?

Felt really cathartic. Like a bit of a weight had been lifted off both him and the crowd.

That’s good to hear. Watching back on the highlights it felt like it was a cleansing experience.

He's no longer public enema No. 1.

Really was a superb penalty save. First glimmers of Emi being Emi we’ve seen in a while.

I'm sure the loud booing from the Holte End, when their player was waiting to take the penalty, helped Emi

Help him? He started it!

Did he now? Couldn't see that from row 34, but I'm not really surprised!

Crowd was quiet and subdued after the penalty award. Emi encourages crowd to make news with both arms - a big come on. Suddenly the noise was deafening and arms were waving a torch light was shining.

Would you say he’s a better shot stopper than Jimmy Rimmer?

He is for me, yeah. Best Villa keeper I've seen.

Martinez
Rimmer
Spink

Been going since 75 and this would be my top 3 in that order

Yeah, I've been  going since '67 and would add Bosnich to the mix, but Emi and Big Jimmy Rimmer are definitely top 2.

Was very aware of the noise - I was booing as loud as I could! - but wasn't aware that Emi started it

Brilliant penalty save and that save to tip the ball over the bar absolutely brilliant.

Defo looked like World's best yesterday.

I'd put Martinez ahead of the 3 we had from mid 70s to late 90s who were all very good with slightly different strengths. Although being honest I don't remember too much of Rimmer.

Martinez is a notch above.

One of my favourites was John Burridge because he was absolutely bonkers
He was a decent keeper but not in the class of the three mentioned

I thought Bosnich was better than Spink.

Spinksy was like Jesus, capable of miracles but not comfortable with crosses.

Why did he run off so quickly at the end?  My initial thought was he needed a Tom Tit.
