@villareport
Alejandro Martínez (Emi’s brother): “At Aston Villa, he’s the Diego (Maradona) of Napoli. He gave a lot at Villa, like Agüero did at City, like Leo Messi did at Barca. They’re legendary players, & it’s going to be hard to surpass what he did at Aston Villa.”

Martínez: “He is well-liked, & the directors didn’t want to sell him because he is the key player in the team, & another team wanted him. It was that commercial dispute. Emi never had an argument with Unai — it was all within the management’s control, & the clubs couldn’t agree.” #avfc

Just had an interesting conversation with a chap who works for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
He was saying he visited Emi and was chatting to him about the charity.
The guy, being a Villa fan, asked him if he was leaving.
Emi told him that ManU wanted him, but Villa did not want to sell.
There’s probably a little bit more in between, but I would guess we put a huge price on his head, hence no offer was officially made.

On a side note, Spurs offered £80m for Morgan Rogers and Villa, obviously, said no.

It does seem a derisory offer for a young, talented player and a Premier League football club.

If they had offered Josh Onamah as part of the deal it may have been too good to turn down.

Ha, is it really his birthday? There's a Smiths song off their last album that might fit.

There’s a few.

Are they stupid? Did they not realise if they buy the Villa Morgan comes free? £10M would have done it.

The spelling police may be active but the grammar police would like to note that the word "obviously" appears between two commas thus making it detatchable from the sentence as a whole.  If you remove it the sentence reads correctly.  just saying for a friend.
