I agree with PaulWinch and Smithy.   Im not too worried - he clearly though he was off - and clearly has affection for the club.  The whole window was horrible due to SCR/FFP and created false preasures for everyone at the club.

Hes has enough credit in the bank, and hes one of the best GK in the world.  Hope he has a great season and helps us get back into the UCL and lift silverware.

Basically someone suggesting the senior players were hawked out to go buyers in January and Martinez never wanted to leave but was told in January club wanted him to leave.

Here's a possible imagining of how things hapoened:

It might be that he was told that, depending on the circumstances,  he might have to be sold.

He responded, saying that he was happy to stay (after all, he signed a new contract last August) but was told again he'd be sold for the right offer.

At that point did he decided to take control of matters to try and ensure that he had as much input as possible as to where he ended up?

Which brings us to the "stories"

And finally the end of transfer window shitshow.

Will he move -  when? How much will we get? Will we/can we sign a decent replacement?

I suspect the 'plan' was the sell Bailey and both Emi's along with fringe players like Moreno, Donk, SIJ, Barrenechea, etc and have £100m+ so we could get Bizot, Guessand and then 2-3 more in the 20-30m range.
