If Emi did move, I wouldn’t be distraught if we replaced him with Kepa.
My thoughts exactly, watching the game.

Like SJM, I think he offers more than just his performances on the pitch.  He is our arrogance and a proven winner, which would be very hard to replace.  ..not a bad keeper too.

100% agree with this.

And me.
Yea me too!

Mings is another one who offers more than just the on-pitch.
And McGinn, those three really are the heartbeat to be a bit corny

I'd be inclined to add Watkins but many want him packed-off to some two-bit club like Derby County or Arsenal.

Kepa seems to have matured a bit since the petulant twat who refused to be subbed when playing for Chelsea. He’s certainly an excellent keeper.

If he is off to Saudi i'll be disappointed but can understand it more with him than most players. Until recently he won't have been raking it having been 3rd/4th choice at Arsenal for nearly a decade.

🚨🇦🇷 Dibu Martínez, emotional at FT as this could be his last appearance at Aston Villa — not sure yet but a possibility ahead of summer window.

Understand Saudi Pro League clubs have approached Martínez in the recent weeks. 🇸🇦

I’ll be gutted if or when he leaves. He has become the embodiment of what we have become. It’s going to happen eventually but won’t be easy for any of us when it happens.

As long as he never plays against when he does go I will be fine.

Madness to even consider selling him without even a having a good enough number 2 keeper on the books.  We got caught out a year ago by selling Luiz and replacing him Onana who's been woeful for much of the season.

If he leaves us to go to saudi it all seems a bit pointless.

He is the best GK to have played for our club - he is the best goalkeeper in the world.  Were not getting 100m for him so why would we entertain the idea.

When he leaves the club it will be a very sad day.  If its forced by some stupid rules to ensure the status quo we may as well just start watching WWE

Agree on Martinez, I'd hope for a humongous transfer fee if indeed he is off, that'd be the only way we should ever sell him through gritted teeth at the alter of PSR, but Tielemans was Luiz's replacement, and he's done pretty well this year.

Onana has had a lot of niggling injuries at a level he did not have at Everton. I think his return to the team over the last few games shows how important he will be to us going forward.

Yes, but reading between the lines,  we are going to cash in in Tielemans as well, and probably way below his true value like with Luiz.

Sell Martinez, and that bumps us about 5 places down the table next season.

Is there any bit of this "Villa" thing that you actually get any enjoyment from?
