Was tring to think of the other own goal he's scored? Last night and the one against Arsenal that came back off the bar, but what was the other one?

It was a cross that wasn't going anywhere near the goal, he made a mess of the catch then in attempting to rectify the mistake he made a worse one by then patting the ball into the net. Just about the worst start imaginable, so the way the players rallied to get back into it so quickly was excellent.

He came out to claim the cross but the deflection off Torres chest actually put it towards goal and it was suddenly travelling in the space between him and the goal line. If he hadn't had then stopped it it would have been a tap in for Diaz. It was the gathering he then mucked up.

It reminded me of the one he dropped in against United (long range shot by Fernandes). In front of the Holte, early in the game, big atmosphere silenced. Funnily enough we came back to draw that one in epic fashion too.

Might not be for us, he did play some matches for Arsenal.

Edit: It is the Manure one Caster mentions.

Was that not just a goal for Fernandes?

Luton's goal at Villa Park was an Emi own goal wasn't it?

Yep, that's the one. I'll dig out my MC Hammer Pepsi promotional cup for a prize.

His three are yesterday, the Arsenal one, and ManU in 2022.

Found it on Sports Bible site so took it as valid. But when I went to check it it did seem to be Fernandes attributed. So yes Luton which was similar to Arsenal and should have been given to Konsa really.

The bill hit the bar from Konsa's header though, so wouldn't have gone in. It hits Emi and goes in, so harsh but definitely an own goal.

I know why it was given him, but it all Konsa's error that caused that. Still surprised that over the 32 years the bounce off the woodwork - keeper - and in hasn't happened to the same keeper more then twice.

Apparently, and I have this on good authority,
Martinez, before he went out said to the players ‘ listen Lads I’m gonna throw one into my own net early doors just to make a bit of a game of it but I’m still a believer mate’

I have to agree with analysis for second goal was too far over last the post. A better position and would have saved the cross and Gakpo would not have scored.
