If the FV AI servers hadn't been switched off for the festive period, I reckon we'd be hearing about how this will push Emery to sell him in January.

Please can we keep Dibu, our GK.
He is the practical difference between a good try and complete success.

Neil Maupay is a streak of pîss, however the correct reaction to the shoulder that started all the foolishness would have been as little as possible then turn and pick him up, ruffle his hair and say “Try again, little boy”.  His subsequent reaction is the reason Kamara was sent off. Not his finest 5 minutes.

Take the shithousery away from Emi, and I think you lose what makes him one of the best. That mentality helps to make him the keeper he is.

He cost us the Kamara red yesterday, but also made some world class saves which kept us in the game, enabling us to grab the 3 points. A compromise I'm willing to make... and I personally LOVE the entertainment you get with his shithousery!  😀

Thought he over reacted when Maupay bumped into him...

This gets my vote for understatement of 2023 on H & V.

He’s absolutely one of the best in the world, if not the best.

There’s not another keeper anywhere in the world I’d swap him for.

Agreed - he’s the difference between Argentina being good, but not winners and being winners. Not to say he’s more important than Messi, but he is what gave them that edge. It’s similar with us and I hope he carries us to a few trophies, and ideally the league this year.

You can't change him, it's that little bit of mentalness that makes him a special player. And worlds best.

Goalkeeping is as much about the mental side of things as it is the shot stopping, catching, etc. All the best goalkeepers are a bit odd, either super self-confident (bordering on arrogant) or clowns generally. Emi is both and it creates an aura about him which upsets opponents and bleeds into his own team. He's the best keeper in the league right now but it's hard to prove that because it's not about stats or saves, him being there is worth points to us.
