Woooooosh (I assume) 😊

I hope I have swung and missed but there are fans on here and elsewhere who think he should have been back for Boxing Day.

To be honest I was gutted about seeing Shakin’ Stevens in goal again.

I am almost certainly imagining things but on the gallery on the OS of today's training, he looks both fucking knackered and unhappy.

I hope his head is in the right place for Spurs.

Yes that’s what I thought - and those were the best photos they could find! I said previously win or lose the World Cup final I think it’s going to be very hard for players to adjust back to the grind of normal games, but I think it especially applies to Emi. He’s playing in a side that are mid table (obviously hopefully we’ll be on the up) but it’s got to feel a bit empty.

Hopefully he’ll adjust quickly and get back to his awesome best.

I'm sick to fucking death of the Emiliano Martinez show. Has there ever been such a fuss over a world-cup winner?

Get your fucking head down and earn your  money!

What makes you think for a second that he won’t get his head down and earn his money. And for what it’s worth it’s 24 hour sports media, social media and obsessed fans making more of a deal of this than he is. If this was 1986 and he was in that Argentina team most of the celebrations including anything specific to him would go unnoticed. He’s done nothing wrong other than achieve a major career milestone and have a lot of fun with it. I don’t see the issue. And of this was a summer WC none of us would be rushing him back because he would naturally have the time off. Having games literally after the tournament ended is stupid.
Well our manager is having to comment on whether he is in the right mental frame of mind to play football for his club on Sunday for a start.

Why are you banging on about 1986? Irrelevant.

It is not a summer WC, however stupid it may be, games are being played and we have already played one game without him and lost. For the money he gets he should have been back to work for Villa.

I am not obsessed, I ignore most sports media and football-based social media and I still think he's taking the piss a bit.

I'd cut him some slack, he probably just got held up checking the weather forecast with Sol Pérez on Canal 26.

I bet he’s gutted that a guy in France wouldn’t give him much slack for missing one domestic game after his country beat France in the word cup final.

Speaking of pricks…Salt Bae. What a fucking penis
I don't blame him, these dickheads spend £700 on a steak at his restaurant and upload pictures of him sprinkling shit onto it and then upload the receipt onto 'the gram'. Hes a fucking genius as far as im concerned and he's lapping it up while he can.

Yeah but he ain't even hot. He's no bae.

That’d be good if I was remotely arsed about the England football team. It’s the mince pies causing my indigestion.

I’m not sure he’s taking the piss - he missed a game, much like other WC players. He’s back in training and consequently can be selected if the manager decides to select him. The World Cup ended a less than 2 weeks ago it’s not like he’s disappeared for months. As for all the noise around him it’s a couple of over the top celebrations that are being obsessed over, hardly the end of the world.

This is why France should have won. No worries about players missing games for Villa

Missing one game because of the WC is unfortunate, missing 2 games would be careless.

Just because he’s back doesn’t mean he will play
I don’t think he will, but I hope I’m wrong

Man with no arms will be in nets again I reckon

Unless he is totally unfit, either physically or not in the right place mentally, i cannot see anyway Emery could allow this to happen, it would be culpable to allow a goalie as poor as Olsen to ever play for us in the premier league again, unless there was absolutely no other alternative.
